Reflection 1

Reflection

This assignment taught me many things about myself as well as my writing skills. The first thing I learned is that I try to use too many details when I’m writing. I need to slow down and start with the basics. I’ll get a lot more done that way. The second is that I am not too good with the technology we use in this class. It does not cooperate with me on a consistent basis. Although I did struggle with the assignment, I did find it to be quite interesting. I liked that it was so open to our mind to use the text and assignment in our own way. I found it much easier to do this assignment then I have in the past. The work that I will be handing in is good work in my mind.

I do think that I might use this work in the future, mainly because it showed me where I need to improve myself. This will be a big stepping stone for me to reach my goals in life. This project worked for me in a way that I didn't think would. It gave me an understanding of writing in general and what tactics can improve it.

The only problems I encountered came after I made the second draft. They were more technological problems than with the paper. I also found that following steps to write the second draft made it easier and less time consuming. The steps that I followed were simple and put exactly what I had to correct in plain sight. It allowed me to rewrite the paper exactly how I wanted it to look in the first place.

I've never been very good with letting others grade my work of give their opinion in person. I tend to argue or get defensive about my ideas. Doing the review like this means i don't see what they say until afterwards.
